Get to Know the Team: The Faces Behind Your Care
At the heart of every healing journey is a relationship built on trust. We believe that trust is built with everyone you interact with in our practice.
To help build that trust, we’re posting a Get to Know the Team blog series. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be introducing you to the wonderful people who make our practice what it is — one story at a time.
From our practitioners to the friendly faces who welcome you at the door, every member of our team brings their own unique path, passion, and philosophy to the work we do together. We believe that wellness is about so much more than a single appointment — it’s about feeling seen, supported, and cared for by people who genuinely love what they do.
Whether you’re a longtime patient or you’re just considering walking through our doors for the first time, we hope this series gives you a warm and honest glimpse into the community you’re becoming a part of.
So, grab a cup of tea, get comfortable, and get ready to meet the people who pour their heart into your health and wellbeing.
We’re so glad you’re here.
Ingrid
Ingrid is one of our Office Managers and has been an amazing addition to the practice! She came in right as Dr. Jennum found out she had to step away and work remotely for a while. She still agreed to take on the challenge and we are incredibly grateful she did!
A note from Ingrid:
When I read Jennum’s job post, I knew I wanted to be part of the team—it felt like such a caring and warm environment and in a line of work I was really interested in. I immediately had the sense that I could fit in. And I hope that same feeling now comes across to our patients. When they walk in, I want them to feel welcome and comfortable.
I love chatting with our patients and getting to know them a bit. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is making them feel at ease – especially when someone shares that they were initially a bit anxious about acupuncture and I’m able to help ease that worry. I also love when Deidre or Melissa work their magic and a patient comes out of treatment visibly relieved and deeply relaxed—it’s something you can truly feel in the room. Just as meaningful to me is being able to support our practitioners daily so they can fully focus on patient care, and to support Jennum so she can run a successful practice. Being part of that kind of supportive, patient centered environment is a big reason why transitioning into this field has been so fulfilling. It feels like the polar opposite of my previous career in international risk management – a fast-paced and stressful environment, that did not offer the same sense of connection or care.
Outside of work, I’ve been getting into mahjong. It takes a surprising amount of strategy and memory—more than I might have bandwidth for some days—but I’m enjoying the challenge nonetheless.
