Welcome, Qin!

Qin Wang

We are thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our healing team: Qin, a Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) in Maryland and NCCAOM diplomate. Her unique journey to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) brings a profound blend of analytical rigor, deep compassion, and heart to our practice.

Whether you’re dealing with chronic pain, stress, or seeking to restore balance in your daily life, Qin is here to guide and support your body’s natural self-healing process.

A Journey Driven by Purpose and Compassion

Qin’s path to acupuncture was anything but traditional. Before entering the field of medicine, she earned a master’s degree in philosophy in Beijing in 2007 and spent several years working as a problem-solver in the software industry.

Everything changed in 2014 when her father suffered a debilitating stroke. Determined to support his recovery, Qin immersed herself in medical research spanning Western medicine, physical therapy, and Traditional Chinese Medicine. What began as a devoted personal mission quickly revealed her true life’s calling.

In 2015, Qin began a formal four-year apprenticeship in Beijing under a master physician. Through intensive training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, moxibustion, cupping, and therapeutic massage, she discovered TCM not just as a system of healing, but as a holistic path to restoring balance for the whole person.

After years of practicing in both fast-paced community clinics and peaceful holistic healing centers in Beijing, Qin earned the NCCAOM diplomat, relocated to the United States in 2024, and became licensed in Maryland.

Patient Care Approach: “Listening. Understanding. Guiding.”

When asked to summarize her approach to patient care in three words, Qin chose: Listening. Understanding. Guiding.

Qin believes that true healing extends far beyond symptom relief—it’s about empowering your body and restoring harmony across mind and body.

“Your body has an amazing ability to heal. My role is to help support and activate your body’s natural self-healing process.”  Qin

Whether you are an acupuncture veteran or feeling nervous about your very first visit, Qin takes the time to explain every step of the treatment process so you feel completely comfortable, supported, and at ease. She has taken her love for problem-solving out of the tech world and now uses this skill to help people uncover more about their health and get to the root of complex medical issues. .

Getting to Know Qin: Beyond the Clinic

We love the positivity and gentle warmth Qin brings to our practice, but here are a few fun facts we’ve learned about her so far:

  • In her down time, she loves relaxing while listening to music and stand-up comedy.
  • A favorite comfort TV show is Friends.
  • She’s excited to learn more about pickleball and start playing.
  • If she wrote a memoir about her life, the title would be Curious, Dedicated, and Optimistic.
  • Like any good wellness professional, she loves tea.
  • She’s a morning person…and a night owl!
